FREEDOM DAY will be a day to celebrate! When it’s safe to be out and about again, small businesses will open back up and we will be able to socialize up close and personal once more. I can’t wait to meet friends for lunch or head to the movies again.
In an effort to support small local businesses during this time when many have been forced to close (for our safety and theirs) I would like to encourage anyone local to Philadelphia to participate in Freedom Day.
Email me to let me know your favorite store, or how we can buy gift cards for your store.
When’s Freedom Day?
I don’t know yet. I am hoping that we can be free to get back together out in the open by the end of April. But there is so much we still don’t know yet. Until then, whether you are sick or not, please abide by your local rules and stay inside unless you must go out, and practice social distancing when you do.
Rather than continually push the date around, I will wait to announce the day when we have a more certain conclusion to this crisis.
What to do before Freedom Day
Purchase gift cards from local businesses. Many of these business will have little to no cash flow during this time, so buying gift cards now will be a huge help. I have begun a list at the bottom of this post, but your suggestions for more are welcome.
Want to add your favorite local store? Please comment or email me with a link to where we can purchase gift cards from your favorite local business and I will add it to this site. If those stores are still open and doing curbside service or deliver, let me know that as well. I would love to see this list grow huge with stores all over the Philadelphia area.
What to do on Freedom Day
Wear your Freedom Day t-shirt and head out to all those local businesses to redeem those gift cards. Take friends with you, meet up at that local coffee shop or bookstore, make it a family outing, whatever you like. But get out there and say thanks to the local businesses for hanging in there during this hard time.
Freedom Day Short-Sleeve Unisex T-Shirt
Celebrate Freedom Day! Once we have come through the Coronovirus stay at home trial, head out into the world and stimulate the economy. More details on the exact day are coming. In the mean time, get ready with a Freedom Day T-Shirt. Proceeds go to the PHL COVID-19 FUND.. Then buy up gift cards for your local businesses, so we can redeem them on Freedom Day.
This t-shirt is ever…
I included links to buy gift cards where I could, phone numbers where I couldn’t. Listings that have phone numbers include a link that goes to Facebook or other pages so you can see more information about the store, rather than a direct link for buying gift cards.
